Hi! Love gin. Trying to find ways to perk up the evening cocktails. Infused flavor seems like the way to go. Just one question, does it need to soak/infuse in the fridge or just in the pantry? Thanks!
I’m new to infusing, but makes it seem simple and worthwhile! Thanks for the ideas. Ate there specific brands that you prefer to use, or will most things work?
I’ve done a variety of infusion recently and they have all been stellar. It is amazingly easy.
We have an abundance of basil growing, so after the pestos and the basilbutters, we still had a surplus, both green and purple varieties. After steeping for three day, we have a very bright tasting basiltini. The flavor is robust. Imagine a refined “dirty martini.” A wonderful aperitief before a plate of raviolini funghi.
A friend has more boysenberries than she and her family could ever eat. The flavor of the fruit is mild but intensified in the gin infusion. But the real magic is the color. Beautiful, amethyst liquid. Absolutely a glorious.
The peach infusion will be coming to term today. I cannot wait to try it.
I’m new to the infusing arena but have enjoyed my concoctions so far. The gin didn’t have the peach flavor I was hoping for but I’m guessing it’s because gin has it’s own distinct flavors already. Vodka would have been a better choice I think.
So it’s that easy, huh? I think I can definitely pull this one off!
