Here is a gourmet twist on traditional pasta salad. In researching various recipes I came up with this amazing dish! Great for any summer picnic.

Pasta Salad with steak, bacon and parmesan dressing
makes 5 servings1/2 lb medium shells or rotini pasta
5 slices bacon
1/2-3/4 lb Top round steak
8 oz green beans
1 C. assorted bell peppers
4 tbs. chopped parsley
1/4 C. mayonnaise
1/4 C. sour cream
1/2 C. buttermilk
3/4 C. grated parmesan
3 tbs. olive oil
-Bring a pot of salted water to a boil and add 1/2lb of pasta. Drain and shock in ice bath. Cook bacon until crisp, drain fat and chop. Set aside. Cook steak, chop and set aside. Blanch green beans in water before adding pasta or in microwave. Shock in ice bath, chop and set aside. Dice peppers and set aside.
-Combine mayo, sour cream, buttermilk and parmesan until blended. Combine all ingredients and season with salt and pepper. Garnish with parsley and olive oil.[/framed_box]
